Action "Start/Execute Program/Script" Action "Complete Path or File Name" Dialog "Define Flexikey": Step 3

With this function, you can expand the directory and file name in every application, e.g. with Tab, as possible in the command line or you can display a list.

Options:

  • Display list
When this option is selected, a list will be displayed with the existing directory and file names:
  • Select an entry in the list with cursor up and cursor down or simply keep typing. The selected directory and/or file name (or the first if none is selected) is pasted with Tab.

  • Complete path and/or file names
The next suitable directory and/or file name will be pasted.
E.g. enter c:\p and press Tab. The first directory found will be displayed: c:\PerfLogs. Press Tab again and c:\Program Files will be displayed. This option functions as in the command line.
    C:\p -> Tab -> c:\PerfLogs -> Tab -> c:\Program Files -> Tab -> c:\Program Files (x86) ...
  • Only path
When activated, only the directory names will considered and/or displayed; not the file name.

  • Path and file names
When activated, the directory and file names will considered and/or displayed.

  • Automatically add backslash (\) to paths and display list again
When activated, an additional \ will be added after pasting from the list and the list will be displayed again.
    E.g.:

Examples:
Complete directory and file name with Tab:
Specify Tabas the flexikey. Select the option "Complete path and/or files names" here.
You can now complete the path with Tab in every program.

Display list:

The list with the existing directories and files appears when you type c:\.
