CollectionsPaste Autotext

Clipboard Master offers you comfortable options for quickly pasting entries. To do so, open Clipboard Master with Win +V or click on the tray icon.

Entries from the clipboard

Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, navigate to an entry with the cursor buttons and press paste to paste the entry into your current document or Windows Explorer. You can directly paste one of the first ten entries by pressing 1 to 9.

Tip: Press the second Alt key + 1 to 5, to directly paste one of the last five copies.

Entries from predefined or custom clipboards

Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, open the list of clipboards with left and then use the cursor keys to easily navigate between the various clipboards and entries. With Insert, you can paste the selected entry into your current document or Windows Explorer.

Tip: You can also click on the Clipboard Master tray icon, then on one of the clipboards and then on an entry. Or you can open Clipboard Master and click on a clipboard and an entry with the mouse.

Entries via AutoText Abbreviations

You can automatically paste entries by assigning the entries an AutoText abbreviation, such as "scr". The corresponding text will then be displayed as a suggestion (but not pasted). The abbreviation is replaced with the text by pressing the Tab key or spacebar (the keys used to paste can be configured). For example, the abbreviation "scr" will be replaced with "sincerely". This allows you to quickly paste frequently used phrases, sentences, long words and text fragments. The suggestion disappears if you press another key. This function is available in version 3.0 and higher. For versions below 3.0 or if the suggestion does not appear or has already disappeared, press the second Alt key + spacebar.

Tip: If you enter your name in the Clipboard Master settings, "scr" will be replaced by "Sincerely yours, first name, last name". See Macros for Text.

Paste Nth Entry

Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, select an additional clipboard if necessary and then press 1 to 0 to directly paste one of the first ten entries.

Tip: You can also paste the second entry with the second Alt key + 2 (numlock), the third with the second Alt key + 3 (numlock) and so on to the 0 key (numlock) for the tenth entry without opening Clipboard Master.

Multiple/All Entries at Once

Mark multiple entries by pressing and holding the key Ctrl (multiple individual entries or Shift (multiple sequential entries) while marking with the mouse.

Then press Insert and the entries will be pasted separately per new lines. Simply press the corresponding key to paste the entries separately per "Tab", "comma" or "semicolon".

Part of an Entry

Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, select an entry and then press F12 to display the preview. Mark the text section to pasted in the preview window and press Insert.

As HTML Code

Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, select an entry and press Ctrl + H and then Insert to paste the entry with HTML code.

As Shortened URL

Using the services www.urly.de or www.tinyurl.com, Clipboard Master can shorten URLs and paste the shortened form. Open Clipboard Master with Win + V, select a URL and press Ctrl + U and then Insert to paste the shortened URL. (An existing Internet connection is required for this action.)

Tip: You can also paste the last shortened URL copied with the second Alt key + U directly - regardless of whether you have copied anything else in the meantime.
